FAQ

CSA Frequently Asked Questions:

How much does it cost?
Community Supported Agriculture connects you to our farm, and the abundance of the season. A 2024 CSA membership costs $800 per season and consists of 20 weeks of produce valued at approx $35-40 each depending on the abundance of the season (high summer = more value each week!), and includes delivery to a drop off location near you (Mondays), bin sanitation, eco-friendly packaging, and admin time.

I’m ready to sign up, how do I pay?
Great! Send an email to csa@gloriousorganics.com and we’ll send you a special link to our online store! We accept credit card, etransfer and cheques.

Can I pay in instalments?
Yes – we offer a deposit option, but do require payment in full by April 1st (though ideally sooner to cover the farming start up costs)

When does it start?
It depends on the weather, but usually the first or second week of June.

Where is your farm?
Glorious Organics is a cooperatively owned and operated farming collective situated on Fraser Common Farm in Aldergrove, BC. Learn more here.

How does pick up work?
Our CSA boxes are delivered in totes to pick up locations before 3pm on Mondays. Your bin will be labelled with your name – just load your box contents into your shopping bags.

What if I am unable to pick up the box?
CSA box pick up is the responsibility of the member – if you are going to be away, we suggest that you ask a friend or family member to pick up for you.  We offer one vacation hold per season in 2022, just let us know you’ll be away and we’ll give you a credit to use on extras later in the season. We also partner with local non-profits and can donate your box – we partnered with Foodstash Foundation last year!

Will it be too much food?
It depends – members who love cooking, juicing, pickling (and especially salads) can make use of their weekly box. Couples and small families will have to make fewer (or zero) trips to the farmers market or grocery store. Some members opt to share a box with a friend or neighbour.

What do I do with my kale/cabbage/garlic scapes, etc?
We will send you a weekly email with helpful info, farm updates, and recipes. Enjoy the diversity, variety and adventure of our region, and get creative in the kitchen, abundance is perfect for sharing!
